Saudi Arabia massacred 82 people today in Yemen, and yet the media is silent about it.

At least 82 people have been killed and more than 500 injured in a strike on a funeral gathering in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, rebel officials say.

The Houthi-run government said the hall had been hit by an air strike carried out by the Saudi-led coalition backing the internationally-recognised government of Yemen. Thousand of civilians have been killed since the Saudi-led air campaign started last March, the UN's rights body says. Nearly three million people have been displaced in Yemen, one of the region's poorest countries, since the war began in 2014. This US-backed war is not just a case of the Obama administration sitting idly by while its close ally goes on a destructive spree of historic proportions. The government is actively selling the Saudis billions of dollars of weaponry. They’re re-supplying planes engaged in the bombing runs and providing “intelligence” for the targets that Saudi Arabia is hitting. Put simply, the US is quite literally funding a humanitarian catastrophe that, by some measures, is larger than the crisis in Syria. Yet all we heard about this conflict in the westen media is crickets. The media is also complacent in this, as it drones 24/7 about the Syrian civil war, it almost completely ignores the one in Yemen, where western backed Saudi Arabia, armed to the teeth with the latest western planes bombs and weapons, is massacring Yemeni civilians, while it relentlessly bombs the Iranian backed Houthi rebels. *UPDATE* The number of casualties has risen to over 140 people.
