Natalie Portman equates eating meat to Nazism in a new PETA video.

Updated: Nov 7, 2021

Actress Natalie Portman, in a new PETA video implies that people who eat meat are basically Nazis. Now the PETA organization has in the past tried many times to equate eating meat with Nazism, and flat out claimed that people who eat meat are Nazis, but they were banned by German courts from continuing to do so. In 2009, a German court banned PETA from comparing meat eating to the Nazi slaughter of Jews, and forbade it to use photos of concentration camp inmates and other images of the Nazi genocide alongside photos of abused animals in a campaign it called "Holocaust on your Plate". So PETA thought hard and long and managed to find a loophole and enlisted the Jewish Hollywood starlet who also happens to be a rabid vegan. The Actress instead of flat out saying that people eating animals are basically Nazis, alternatively quoted Jewish writer Isaac Bashevis Singer, who wrote in a novel, "We do to God's creatures what the Nazis did to us". Indeed the whole video is set up not as a rabid vegan hate speech propaganda campaign, but as a “tribute” to the Jewish writer. I mean who could say anything against a tribute to a famous Jewish writer? But the stupidity and ignorance of Portman and the the PETA people who made this video does not stop there.

“Isaac Singer grew up in the same part of Poland as my family,” says Portman in the video. “And like them, he fled the horrors of the Holocaust. But the cruelties he witnessed made Singer one of the most powerful writers of the 20th century.” The only problem with this statement is that even a short google search would reveal that Portman is either stupid, or lying. Isaac Singer never “fled from the holocaust in Poland”, in fact he immigrated from Poland in 1935 to the US. And exactly what “cruelties” is Portman referring to? Because in case Portman didn't know the Holocaust didn't start in 1935 in Poland, it started in 1942, and it happened in German occupied Poland, not "Poland", and it was carried out by Germany, not by “Poland”. Animal mistreatment is horrible and the terrible conditions that most animals suffer before they're turned into meat are cruel and disgusting and should be protested and campaigned against. But not like this, and not by dimwitted people like Natalie Portman and PETA who by disingenuously exploiting a Nazi German crime like the Holocaust in order to "protest" animal suffering, end up turning both the Holocaust and animal suffering into a mockery for anyone with a heart and a brain. And just in case some future morons want to equate eating meat or animal cruelty with Nazism, Adolf Hitler, the founder of Nazism and the leader of the National Socialist movement, was a vegetarian who loved animals.
